hmmm...I waited half a day in the Houston airport last fall and don't recall one thing they announced over the loudspeaker. Guess I was too busy in my own little world.

I like how the light and friendly visual feel of your quilt contrasts with the somewhat dark message.

Absolutely love it! Political quilts have such a history in the US, it's great to know they're still being made....

Hi diva, yes you must have been too busy with thoughts of all the wonderful new ideas you got at Festival !
The exact loudspeaker voice was flat and droning (eerily like something out of Aldous Huxley's "Brave New World") and the message repeated at least every five minutes. I kept writing it down and looking at the words (which, to be exact were "Inappropriate remarks (or jokes) may result in your arrest").

Betsy....yes there is a rich history of political quilts right from the start. Thanks so much for checking out my piece.
